Our Club Terms and Conditions
Our General Terms & Conditions
Please ensure you read the terms and
conditions specific to the membership plan you have chosen and provided to you
at the time of joining. Please note you must be over 18 years old to purchase a
membership. 16/17 years old must obtain permission from their parent/guardian
who agrees to pay us any amounts that are due on your behalf should you
default. They also agree to be responsible for your behaviour and actions. We
reserve the right to request proof of age and to refuse membership.
Membership
1. Your membership will begin on the
day you join.
2. Your membership is personal to you.
You must not allow anyone else to use your membership.
3. If Mission Fitness or the
bank/building society makes a mistake with your direct debit payment you are
guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your bank/building society.
4. You must bring a valid form of
identity with you to validate your membership type if this is applicable.
5. Memberships are non refundable and
cannot be transferred to another person under any circumstances. This is
applicable for all memberships. Sharing a membership or block of classes will
result in the immediate cancellation of the membership and no refund will be
given.
6. Class bundle memberships and babies
welcome bundle memberships will expire after 80 days and cannot be extended.
Fees
1. You must pay a monthly membership
fee which will be determined by your chosen membership package.
2. Monthly instalments will be due on
the 1st of the month, or the next available working day, by Direct
Debit or Recurring Card Payment.
3. We may change the amount of your
monthly payments. If we do, we will write to you at the address you have given
us fourteen days before the changes take place.
4. Monthly fees are payable even if you
do not use the club.
5. If a payment becomes unpaid, and we
hold an alternative payment method for you, we will attempt to collect the
outstanding balance.
6. No refunds are available for any
Annual memberships paid in full options or block sessions.
Cancelling Your
Membership
1. Memberships cannot be cancelled
until the agreed contract length that you have entered into has expired and the
last payment has been made. A contract may be cancelled once the final payment
has been made, there is a 4-week minimum time period on monthly unlimited and
off peak memberships.
2. Cancellation of your payment method
does not represent cancellation of your membership. We reserve the right to
charge any fees we incur from non-payments.
3. All cancellations are confirmed in
writing, via email or letter.
4. You must assume, that if you have
not received confirmation, your membership has not been cancelled.
Club Rules & Etiquette
1. You must comply with the club rules
& etiquette which form part of this agreement.
2. We may change the club rules &
etiquette at any time. We will post notice of any changes at the club and on
our website.
3. Members are expected to conduct themselves
in a respectful and courteous manner at all times while on club premises. Any
behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive may result in immediate suspension
or termination of membership.
4.Smoking and the use of vapes is
prohibited in all areas of the building.
Facilities
1. You are entitled to use the
facilities available for your category of membership package. Using facilities
outside your membership will result in membership being terminated and no
refund.
2. You may have to pay additional charges
to use certain other facilities/activities at the club. We can change these
prices at any time.
3. Before using any exercise equipment,
you must complete the online PAR-Q form and have a supervised induction
session. We can refuse access to the club facilities if we consider your health
may be adversely affected using such facilities.
4. The club may open/close earlier
during public holiday periods. Facilities may also close for occasional special
events. Notices will be displayed in the club in advance notifying customers of
any changes. No refunds will be available for these periods.
5. We may change the clubs opening
times or withdraw any of the facilities or classes at any time.
6. We may need to close a facility or
part of it for repair/refurbishment on the grounds of health and safety or
improving customer service. Fitness classes may also have to be cancelled due
to unforeseen instructor unavailability.
In the above circumstances, we will use
our best endeavour to:
6.1. Give as much notice as is
reasonably practicable by displaying notices in the club.
7. Your membership does not give you
priority over other users or guarantee the availability of facilities.
8. Mission Fitness management reserves
the right to change the class schedule. Prior notice will be given in the club
relating to cancellations or the introduction of new sessions.
9. Some promotions will not apply to
existing members. Terms & Conditions will be specified for each promotion.
10. The club is not responsible for any
damage or loss to the member’s property whilst on the premises, this includes
in lockers/shelving.
11. Large bags/coats are not allowed on
the gym floor or in the studio at any time.
12.
Showers are limited so please be mindful of others who may be waiting
and they must be left in a respectful manner and clean.
13.Members must inform Mission Fitness
of any changes to health to include pregnancy/injury/medication prior to using
the facilities or joining a class.
14.While using facilities you accept
responsibility for your state of health and physical condition, you should not
take part in any physical activity that you may not be fit for. If you suffer
any unusual symptoms when using the gym facilities or in a class you must
immediately stop the activity and tell a member of staff.
15. When using the gym equipment please
have respect for all kit. It must be used for the purpose it is designed. Any
misuse of equipment that could result in damaged or injury to yourself or
others can result in your membership being revoked.
16. Use the cleaning sprays and wipes
that are clearly marked around the gym after using the equipment.
17. Due to noise and impact
restrictions ball slams and tyre flips are strictly forbidden. When using
barbells and dumbells place them back on the floor and do not drop from a
height. We need to be respectful to all other business’s in the building and
these actions can cause noise and vibration issues. Disregard for these points
can result in your membership being revoked.
18. Bring your own training towel to
the gym.
Membership Check in
1. You must check in at reception to
gain access to the club facilities.
2. All members must have their
photograph taken for identification purposes; this will be stored on the club’s
database. This information will solely be used by the club and will not be
released to any third parties.
Termination of Membership
1.The club reserves the right to
suspend or terminate a membership for any violation of these terms and
conditions or for any other reason deemed necessary by club management.
2. If you allow entry to any other
member or share your membership then your membership will be immediately
revoked and you may be liable for the other persons fees, you will not be
entitled to any refund.
Babies and Children in club
1.Children under school age are welcome
in specialist post-natal classes. They
must remain in their buggy or carseat at all times or in a designated safe area
agreed by the instructor. Toddlers must
stay in the playpen and cannot wander around for their safety.
2.At no time can you use exercise
equipment whilst holding a baby or toddler.
3.Teen fit is suitable for year 7 plus,
parents must sign the PARQ before the child starts the class.
4.If a childs behaviour is deemed
unacceptable or dangerous for themselves and others they will not be allowed to
join the class and no refund will be given.
Classes
1.Annual, monthly unlimited, off peak
memberships and class pass memberships can book classes 9 days in advance.
2.Members must arrive five minutes
before class. If you turn up late or
miss the warm up for safety reasons you may be refused entry to the class
3. Children school age and above are
welcome to sit in the studio during the class with prior agreement from Mission
Fitness but are not allowed to join in, move around and must keep noise to a
minimum.
4.Parents are responsible for cleaning
any mess left from food/snacks left by the children.
5.Please note that when there is a
bootcamp class running in the main gym the free weights and functional area
will be given priority to the class.
What can I wear to the gym?
1.Trainers must be worn and suitable
active wear. Work wear, flip flops and
bare chests are not permitted on the gym floor.
2.Please maintain personal hygiene and
all times, clean workout wear and deodorant must be used.
3.Dirty trainers are not allowed in the
gym. You must wear indoor clean footwear
at all times.
4.Please bring a workout towel and
spray equipment after use, using the spray provided.
Cameras in the gym
1.We permit filming on the gym floor as
long as it doesn’t have a conflict of interest with our inhouse PTs.
2.Any filming should be done with good
etiquette and avoid other members and gym users being in the shots.
3.Filming at peak hours at the gym is
not permitted as you cannot guarantee that other members are happy to be in the
shots.
4.Please contact us about hiring the
gym after hours for any private photo shoots.
5.We have CCTV cameras around the gym
for member safety and security.
Parking
1.We provide 8 spaces at the rear of
the carpark which are for member use, please only use these spaces when using
the facilities.
2.Please do not park in any other
spaces at the rear, you are allowed to park in any of the spaces at the front
of the building excluding disabled unless you have a blue badge.
3.Cars are parked at the owners own
risk, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal
belongings.
Personal Training
1.Personal Training is available with
any of the Mission Fitness Personal Trainers. You cannot bring your own trainer
into the club if they are not a Mission Fitness recognised member of staff.
2.When booking Personal Trainers you
are entering into a contract with the self employed trainer and not Mission
Fitness. The trainer will discuss all obligations and no monies will be paid or
controlled by Mission Fitness.
Unmanned Gym Hours
1.There will be hours within the week
where the gym is open but there will be no staff on site. The gym will be
monitored via Security 24 through CCTV. Gym access will be via a QR code
madlock system with a valid membership.
2.Emergency call points will be visible
around the gym which are linked directly to Security 24 in case of an accident.
3.During unmanned hours the showers
will not be available.
4.Before using the gym during unmanned
hours you must have completed the waiver to say you fully understand how to use
the equipment and your responsibilities while using the equipment.
5.Anybody found abusing their
membership during these times will have their membership revoked with immediate
effect.
Health Commitment Statement
Our commitment to you
We will respect your personal decisions and allow you to make your own
decisions about what activities you can carry out.
We will make every reasonable effort to make sure that our equipment and
facilities are in a safe condition for you to use and enjoy.
We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that our Colleagues are
qualified to the appropriate standards
If you tell us that you have a disability which puts you at a
substantial disadvantage in accessing our equipment and facilities, we will
consider what adjustments, if any, are reasonable for us to make.
Your commitment to us
You should not undertake activity beyond your own abilities. If you know
or are concerned that you have a medical condition which might interfere with
you undertaking activity safely before you use our equipment and facilities you
should get advice from a relevant medical professional and follow that advice.
You should make yourself aware of any rules and instructions, including
warning notices which you can find here or
at your chosen facility. Activity carries its own risks and you should not
carry out any activities which you have been told are not suitable for you.
You should ask an Everyone Active Colleague if there is any equipment
which you are unsure how to use.
You should let us know immediately if you feel ill when using our
equipment or facilities. Our Colleagues are not qualified medical
professionals, but there will be a person available who has had first-aid
training.
If you have a disability, you must follow any reasonable instructions to
allow you to undertake activity safely.
